Shri Shektra Valmiki , is a sacred 'tapobhumi'(place of meditation) of Maharishi Valmiki.Blessed by the nature in bounty, this place is still un-noticed feels Shri. Ramanand Pandharpatte and Shri.Jaganath Pawar who have travelled around these places.
This place should be thrived by tourists,and it should be declared as a tourism spot by the MTDC is the main cause behind the promotion of this website.

The information and photography of these surroundings is put together by Shri.Ramanand Pandharpatte and Shri Baban Bendkhale.They travelled from Dhebewadi - Valmik to Nayari (Sangameshwar) and all the other spots mentioned in this site on foot.
They have covered this distance of 60 - 70 kms.,twice on foot for gathering all the information of these places.
Having love for the nature and treking, they arrange a camp to Chandoli Sanctuary,Valmiki Temple and the surrounding jungle,2-3 times in a year.
